Frequently Asked Questions

What benefits will I gain from attending The Omega Art School?
In many ways this is up to you. Everyone learns and progresses at a different pace, but if you are receptive and put plenty of effort and enthusiasm into the classes you will be amazed at what you can achieve. We are confident that you will gain enough pleasure and knowledge from the classes, that you will enjoy them, in their own right. In future, you may also be interested in developing your newly found skills to begin making an income from art - perhaps working towards having an exhibition, entering competitions, or applying for funding? Your tutors will be able to talk to you about these possibilities.

What happens if I miss a class?
Your tutor will advise you about what you have missed, and what you might do if you would like to make up the work in your own time. Unfortunately, we cannot refund missed classes, unless we cancel a class – if your tutor is ill for example.

What happens if I have to stop coming to The Omega Art School?
If you have to stop attending for serious health reasons, or because of family problems etc. please let us know as soon as you can, and we will of course consider refunding the cost of any classes you have not completed.

What if I have a problem, or complaint about the classes?
Please let Kevin Dean, or any tutor know if you are, in anyway, unhappy with the classes and we will do our very best to rectify the situation. If in the unlikely situation we are unable to resolve the problem to your satisfaction, we will offer you a full refund of any classes you have not completed.

Can I swap classes from the afternoon to the evening class, or from beginners to improvers?
Once you have elected to join a class, we would like you to stay with your group, for both consistency and to aid progress. Also, it may be difficult to swap your classes if both classes are full. However, if it is important for you to change class, we will do our best to make this possible.

Can I just join the first term and not continue with the 2nd term?
Yes, each term and most classes will be self-contained, so that you may not feel it is necessary to continue into the 2nd term. However, the first term will be a foundation course and the 2nd term will be a great opportunity to build upon these newly learnt skills and gaining a better insight as to how you might develop your work further.
What happens if the classes are full? We will add your name to a waiting list and get in touch as soon as a place becomes available.

Is it Possible to skip a course?
For some students who feel that have more experience this is a suitable option. If you are thinking of doing this and would like advice we are more than happy to help.
